Open since September 2019, Miyako Hotel Hakata trades a beach view for one of the shortest walks to a train platform in the city: 150 metres to JR Hakata Station, with the airport five subway minutes beyond that. The spa and wellness centre and two restaurants keep the evening on site, while the bar and cafe lounge fill the gap between dinner and sleep. Rooms are straightforward, air-conditioned with a flat-screen TV, private bathroom and Chromecast for streaming. The electronics megastore Yodobashi Hakata is a three-minute walk, Tocho-ji Temple fifteen, and the nightlife of Nakasu sits 2.5 kilometres off, close enough for a taxi after dinner without needing to book a room there instead.
