Hotels near the Marina in Palma de Mallorca
Palma's waterfront is a long arc of moorings, from the yacht club and the Paseo Marítimo in the west to the old fishing harbour of Portixol in the east, with La Seu cathedral standing above the middle. The hotels on this page are the published ones closest to that water. Hotel Mirador and Hotel Amic Horizonte look over the harbour and the bay, Portixol Hotel & Restaurant sits on Portixol's harbour, and Es Princep and Terreno Suites stand near Palma Yacht Club. In the old town, Canavall and Fil Suites keep the port within a short walk.
Palma lives facing its bay. Ferries, cruise ships and sailing yachts share the harbour, the Paseo Marítimo runs along the moorings with a seafront path for walkers and cyclists, and the cathedral overlooks the water from above Parc de la Mar. East of the centre, Portixol keeps the scale of a small fishing harbour, with restaurants along the quay and a beach next door. A marina stay here means mornings on the waterfront path and evenings watching the light change on the masts.

From the yacht club to Portixol harbour
The appeal of a marina hotel in Palma is the water itself: boats in the foreground, the bay beyond, and the cathedral within walking distance. The city's harbour is large, so the choice depends on which part of it you want outside your window. Hotels on the west side face the main harbour and the yacht club, Portixol offers a smaller, quieter harbour with a beach beside it, and the old town hotels trade the view for a short walk to the port and the historic streets.
For a direct view of the harbour, the two hotels with the most reviews are the obvious starting point. Hotel Mirador overlooks Palma Harbour, with many rooms opening onto balconies and a spa offering a heated whirlpool, a sauna and Turkish baths, a short distance from the cathedral and the historic centre. Hotel Amic Horizonte, a family-run hotel near the port, has panoramic views of Palma Bay, an outdoor pool, a spa area and private balconies. Their guest ratings, around 8, are lower than the boutique hotels below, but I would still choose them when the view of the boats matters most.
Portixol Hotel & Restaurant is my favourite on this page. It sits on Portixol harbour, the former fishing port east of the centre, just 300 metres from Portixol beach, and guests rate it 9.4. Rooms are elegant and air-conditioned, with private balconies and sea views, and the hotel has an outdoor pool, a spa with treatments, a cocktail bar and a gourmet restaurant overlooking the port. The seafront path links Portixol to the cathedral along the bay, so you can walk or cycle into the old town and come back to a quieter harbour at the end of the day.
On the west side, near Palma Yacht Club, two highly rated hotels suit different trips. Es Princep, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, scores 9.5 and offers first-rate service, a rooftop terrace, an outdoor pool and a spa centre close to Ca'n Pere Antoni beach. Terreno Suites, also rated 9.5, is a recently renovated aparthotel with balconies, a fitness centre and an outdoor infinity pool open all year, which makes it the practical choice for a longer stay or for travellers planning to sail from the nearby moorings.
In the old town, the port is a short walk rather than a view. Canavall, rated 9.3, has rooms and apartments with traditional Mallorcan details and serves breakfast in a former bakery, close to the port and the yacht club. Fil Suites occupies a historic building that was once a textile factory, an 8-minute walk from Palma Port and close to the cathedral, and it is the most reviewed hotel of this group with a 9.2 rating. For self-catering near the yacht club, StayCatalina provides apartments with full kitchens and free bicycles for the waterfront path.
For a marina stay in Palma, I would choose Portixol Hotel & Restaurant: it sits on Portixol's old fishing harbour, 300 metres from the beach, with sea-view balconies and a restaurant above the port, and the seafront path takes you along the bay to the cathedral. If you want the main harbour in front of you, I recommend Hotel Mirador instead.
